You may remember from my last blog post on this topic in March that, to coincide with this initiative, McAfee and Bletchley Park Trust launched a nationwide competition for kids. We asked children aged 8-11 across the UK to create their version of a 'next-generation' superhero – much like the code breakers of WWII – that will represent our partnership.

72% of UK public unable to name high-flying females in tech industry

McAfee, part of Intel Security, today launches research revealing that nearly three-quarter's of the British public are unable to identify female leaders in technology. In tandem with today's official launch of McAfee's Cyber Security Exhibition and Computer Learning Zone at Bletchley Park - the home of the WWII codebreakers - the research reinforces the importance of encouraging both women and men into technology and cybersecurity careers.

Bletchley Park appoints McAfee online education officer

Bletchley Park Trust, the centre of Codebreaking in World War II and birthplace of modern computing, has hired its first Online Education Officer to deliver a learning programme in online safety. The role has been awarded to Nicola Halls, an ex-teacher and graduate in neuroscience with a passion for education and online safety.

McAfee announces major partnership with the Bletchley Park Trust

McAfee today announces a five-year collaborative partnership with The Bletchley Park Trust, the home of the World War Two Codebreakers, to help in the preservation of this unique heritage site and develop it as a centre for educational excellence. After the full restoration is complete, Bletchley Park aims to attract 250,000 visitors a year and provide school visit facilities for more than 16,000 pupils each year.
